CPSTL New Year Commencement Ceremony – 2026

CPSTL  commenced official duties for the year 2026 on 01st January 2026, in compliance with the circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on the commencement of work for the New Year. The programme was conducted in line with government guidelines, commencing with the hoisting of the National Flag, singing of the National Anthem, and observing two minutes of silence in remembrance of the members of the Tri-Forces and others who sacrificed their lives for the nation. 

The event was held at the Canteen Premises, Kolonnawa Nimawa, with the participation of Chairman, Managing Director, Executive Director, Snr. Management, Union Members and employees, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to public service amidst the challenges faced following Cyclone “Ditwah”.

The formal proceedings included a welcome address by the Acting DGM (HR & Administration), followed by an inspiring address by the Managing Director, who emphasized the importance of employee commitment and dedication towards achieving organizational objectives. The Chairman, in his address, highlighted key achievements during 2025, including the resolution of the salary arrears anomaly and other employee receivables, while encouraging employees to perform diligently in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the year ahead.” The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Executive Director, marking a positive and motivated start to the New Year 2026.
